Makes me sad: to know that the brass considers the military budget to be a con to be held secret from the public until it can be hastily slipped through the Congress without careful examination.
Of course knowing that congressional "conservatives" view the defense of America as just another excuse to porkbarrel doesn't help any either.

Yeah, that less-than-a-week delay will really allow them to pull the wool over our eyes. [Roll Eyes]

I've worked in the military appropriation process before. The details are publicly available months before it's passed.
