Billy Boyd is an extremely cool actor. I think he needs a new role to get his career really going. I'm thinking he should play a hardcore Irish mo fo in some comedy/action movie a la Snatch or perhaps Trainspotting.

You know, that didn't take a whole lot of musical talent to do.

Still, it was a good choice for funny factor and probably makes great shtick for get-togethers.

you know, something doesn't have to be amazing to show someone has talent. i think boyd has an incredibly pure and pleasant voice.
and i like the way he sang an otherwise grating song.

if we met i think the first thing i'd ask him would be what he'd rather have - twins or triplets.

anyone find a video clip of this yet?

That's why I said it didn't require musical talent and not that it wasn't amazing.

Like I also said, it's great shtick and a novel idea. The "neat" factor in it isn't the music itself, it's that he really is someone who does fun things like that just to have fun. Usually, attitude and outlook can handle things where talent cannot.

I think a Hardcore Scottish mofo would be more appropriate, but that's just me. [Wink] [Razz]

how did that not require musical talent?
he sings well. he keeps his pitch and is in key, even while adding variations to the original vocal delivery of the song.

it may not be the philharmonic, but i can't do what he did and i say that's talent.
