The Liberty Council recommends that teenage girls wear transparent shirts to school for Valentine'sDay.

Huh? I cut and pasted the link (slight error in inputting it) and the story doesn't match the title to the thread. [Confused]

Transparent t-shirts, as in "T-shirts encouraging sexual purity as a lifestyle"? Where does it say that they have to be transparent?

As usual, the Brits are on top of reporting the titillating news.

All i'm seeing is a reference to white t-shirts. However I wouldn't argue with transparent.

Apparently no one has ever seen a woman in a backlit white t-shirt, or in a wet t-shirt contest.
Or even the effect of a dark-colored t-shirt draping over a non-bullet-proof bra.

As JustinTimberlake public bragging about MadonnaLike a VirginBrittneySpears proves, ain't nothin' like a proclamation of "purity" to attract scags anxious to disprove the claim.

[Angst] So everytime I've been wearing a white t shirt over the last how long, I've been "advertising"? Even the Dragon Army shirt I got at EnderCon?

No, it's the combination of white t-shirt and prurient message, pooka.

And frankly those who advocate "abstinence only" are well aware that rates of sexual activity is higher, of sexually-transmitted diseases is higher, of pregnancy is higher, and of abortion is higher in the youth who participate in only their programs than in youth who participate in a comprehensive sexual education program.

Motivation-wise, far closer to the truth than sarcasm, katherina.

I'll bet the so-called purity rings contain self-control-erasing pheremones.

Hafta wait for the science to catch up.
Remember, those who oppose sexual education, birth control education, etc (and the use of drugs for recreation) are also those who allowed a very dangerous and purely recreational drug, Viagra, to pass through the regulatory process with no opposition and in record speed.

Because those are the EXACT SAME PEOPLE. Everyone who opposes birth control, sex education, and marijuana adore viagra, and everyone who likes the first three eschew viagra.

Come on aspectre, there's no bogey man here.

Nope, no bogey. Just a minority of men (and a minority of about half as many women) with self-serving "morality"; whether BobDole interested in "serving" "lobbyists" or HughHefner interested in "servicing" 18year olds.

Why would those who oppose criminalization of recreational drugs have cause to oppose Viagra?
Or for that matter, those who don't preach* sex equals sin?

*Which is quite different from believing and/or acting in accordance with that belief.
