Okay, that Tom Hanks game is fine if you like touchy feely everyone loves me so much I have two Oscars game play. But if you want the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, here are my car trip rules:

1. Any actor to any actor, within 3 films (4 actors including the people you are attaching. You can do less, but the risk is higher)
2. No imdb or Oracle of Bacon (on a cartrip it's not an option anyway)
3. The challenger tries to link the actors in as few movies as possible. If they do it in the same or fewer, then they "win" and set the next challenge.
4. No TV shows, no animation voice roles unless the whole challenge is all animation voice roles.

So let's begin- Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts

Dude, I totally swear.

I get about 400 spam emails offering to sell me said video on their website. Or maybe it was Drew Barrymore and Eliza Dushku. I can never remember.

Edward burns was in 15 minutes with Robert Deniro

Robert Deniro was in The Score with Ed Norton

Ed Norton once pushed Matthew Perry down and took his lunch money. Also, he may have given him a wedgie, and possibly a swirlie. And it was less than he deserved.

Damn that Matthew Perry. Damn him.

Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet in Whole 9 Yards.
Amanda Peet and Edward Burns in She's the One.

I think Jennifer Aniston was also in She's the One, but then TV doesn't count. Edward Burns is also in Saving Private Ryan, but then we're not playing Tom Hanks. [Smile]

Wilt Chamberlin (the basketball player) to Andy Dick.

I can't do this one without voice-over - and that's only if my memory is correct and Andy Dick and Arnold Schwarzenegger were both in the same Dr. Doolittle movie (the one with the bear trying to mate with the Lisa Kudrow bear).

But with that caveat, Wilt in Conan the Destroyer to Arnold, Arnold to Andy Dick in one of the Dr. Doolittles.

OK, confirmed on IMDB - it was Dr. Doolittle 2.

aw, I stink. Mine was three movies. I'd forgotten about two weeks notice, and had a nagging suspicion there was going to be some painfully obvious solution.

But since Dagonee didn't put another challenge:

Matthew Broderick and Kurt Russell

Matthew Broderick was in The Lion King with
Nathan Lane who was in Frankie and Johnnie with
Michelle Pfeiffer who was in Tequila Sunrise with
Kurt Russell.

I have a headache now. I was struggling to remember a connection between Nathan Lane and either Mel Gibson or Michelle Pfeiffer. The only movie with Kurt Russell that I could remember was Tequila Sunrise. How pathetic.

Michelle Pffeifer and Diane Lane

Wait - are voice-overs allowed or not? That's why I didn't post a challenge, 'cause I didn't think mine counted...

I assumed since Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick had such large roles in The Lion King, it counted, but if not... then Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick were in The Producers together also. And I'm thinking they were both in Music Man, but I could be wrong about that.

Michelle Pffeifer in second Batman Movie w/ guy who played Alfred.
George Clooney in Batman and Robin with same guy who played Alfred.
George Clooney in Perfect Storm with Diane Lane.

See, without IMDB it's hard to get the minor actors involved.

Who is Bruce Campbell? (which pretty much cuts me out of the running for figuring this out, though I can think of more potential links for James Woods than I could for Kurt Russell)

If you like horror movies, run, don't walk, and rent Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn, and Army of Darkness.

He was also Briscoe County, Jr., Autolocus on Xena and Hercules, the ring announcer in Spider-Man, and lost the role of the Phantom to Billy Zane, for which I've never forgiven that pretty-boy.

In short, one of the best B-movie actors of all time. Childhood chum of Sam Raimi.

He's only a B-movie actor because those are the movies that don't attract studio attention to make sure everything is marketable.

I still say he'd have made a much better Phantom than Billy Zane.

A cardboard cut-out of William Shatner would be a better Phantom than Billy Zane.

Matthew Broderick and B.D.Wong were in "The Freshman"
B.D. Wong appeared in "Executive Decision" with Kurt Russell.- that was my solution. Please go on with your discussion.

By the way, I liked Billy Zane as the giggolo in... Oh, now I can't remember the title. It was the one with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.

There's still a challenge on the table:

Bruce Cambpell to James Woods.

Both have been in so many movies there should be lots of ways to do this.

But my way gets you there with two intermediate actors.

Patrick Stewart to Mel Brooks in "Robin Hood Men in Tights"

Mel Brooks to Rick Morranis in Spaceballs.

Rick Morranis to Dan Akroyd in "Ghostbusters"

Dan Akroyd to Woody Allen in "Jade Scorpion"

Apparantly, I don't know anyone who's been in a Next Generation movie except the regular cast...

Men in tights was the right direction...
Tracey Ullman was in that and "Small time crooks".

Bubba Ho-Tep sounds like one freaky movie, dude.

I love that Simpson's where Homer lets his dad's kidneys explode rather than be late for "F. Murray Abraham" on the Actor's studio. I have no idea what the actors studio is, but the way he said it was really really funny. Oh, I brought that up as a STNG guest star.
