Being a knuckle-dragging Neandrethal, I finally went to iTunes to download this song I assumed was by U2 and couldn't find it for the life of me. Thank goodness I watched the Grammys and the light bulb went off.
Needless to say, I felt silly, but not in a little-girl-in-a-tutu-with-pink-tights kind of way.

You thought that was U2? Even though it doesn't sound like Bono, it's mostly piano, and it lacks the Edge's signature guitar sound? What kind of crack were you smoking? (Just kidding, of course .)

The first time I heard it, I actually thought Remy Zero's "Save Me" was U2. Actually, I didn't, because I was a member of the U2.com mailing list and there's no way a new song could have gotten out without me knowing about it, but I thought to myself "Gee, they kinda sound like U2."
So I bought the album. The rest of it sounded nothing like U2.

Oooh, I love Coldplay - and yes they do sound a lot like U2. They actually have two cd's out, 'Parachutes' and 'a rush of blood to the head' which are equally brilliant.
I would suggest that they should be listened to when you are in a good mood, though. Some of the songs can be a little bit depressing. Last time I was home, I played my CD's really loud until my Dad told me that if I didn't turn it down, he was going to take a bath with a toaster...

I liked Cash's "I Went out Walking" on Zooropa.
I also really liked "When Love Came to Town" w/ B.B. King on Rattle and Hum. Amazing. B.B. can still make Lucille sing.
