The debate about gay marriage has escalated into violence in Portland as a TV crew was attacked.
The attacker had left violent death threats on the voicemail of two Multnomah County commissioners.
Brandon Rogers said he meant every hateful word he said when asked about the phone messages he left for the two county commissioners.
And when TV cameras showed up on his doorstep, he demonstrated how his actions could be just as violent as his words.

The caller had no problem leaving his name and a hateful message on the voicemail of two Multnomah County commissioners.
"Hi, my name is Brandon Rogers," said the message. "I hope you get AIDS from your f------ brother and before you're run out of the commission, you little b----. I hope your whole family is killed. I hope it with all my heart that you guys are gunned down and killed."
Lisa Naito and Serena Cruz received the voicemails – two of the Multnomah County commissioners who showed their support for gay marriage last week by allowing gay couples to obtain marriage licenses.
"It's really hateful and I don't want my staff to have to take this anymore," said Lisa Naito.
"I didn't ever expect to have my life threatened, my family's life threatened. I don't think that's a fair thing to do," said Serena Cruz.
A Portland TV crew found the caller, Brad Rogers, at home.
"I stand behind anything I say," he said. "Do you realize they're threatening the institution of marriage by letting anyone and their dog get married?"
Rogers said he had no problem sharing his views with the young children he was babysitting, but when the Portland TV crew pointed the camera at the children, he attacked.
Rogers made a last attempt to kick the camera when police arrived. He was arrested for assault.
Rogers was arrested for fourth-degree assault. He could also face charges for the messages he left for the county commissioners.

I saw this story on the news last night. There was a news camera that filmed another news reporter being assaulted by this hick. The reporter asked a question, and the dude grabbed his camera and dragged him inside the house. It was more wrestling over control of the camera than actual blows, but it was still nice and violent.
I'm glad I'm not on his side on this issue, but I feel sorry for OSC, Dog and the like. It's really hard to be a conservative sometimes... you work really hard to come up with a well-reasoned and thought-out stance on a subject, and someone who's supposed to be on your side reduces the whole debate to: "aw, hell, if they do that I'm 'onna kick 'em in the nuts." Makes the whole issue seem really stupid.
