Someone has a serious problem following instructions...I mean, you had to click the thing to get in here. What is wrong with you?

I just recently watched Runaway Jury, and while I think it would stroke my ego to an infinite degree to be able to sway a jury, that is not the issue I want to discuss.

However, if any registered voters want to pledge undying loyalty to me, there are ten cool Inter-Bucks in it for you. Potential juries aren't worth as much as actual juries.

Anyways, the question raised by the lawsuit and Dustin Hoffman's eyebrows was whether or not a gun company, in this case, should be held responsible for making sure that their products reach responsible, sound clients.

Now, to keep this away from the issue of Gun Control, remember that this could apply to pharmaceutical companies, the beverage industry, and many others.

Are the companies to be free of responsibility? In that case, they would be able to freely distribute their products to shady dealers and the like without fear of redemption. On the other hand, should they be held accountable because some guy doesn't take his meds one morning and blows the head off the driver who merged without signaling?

Who gets to decide who is responsible enough to have one of these products? Should the company have to do background checks on every customer before making a sale? Its debatable but shouldn't the company try to make money first, being that its the reason they exist at all, meaning that good corporate citizenship is a seconardary goal?

Its the blame game too. I couldn't have developed lung cancer if they hadn't sold me tobacco. I couldn't have shot that guy if they hadn't sold me the gun. At somepoint we have to hold the individual responsible for their own actions. "The Man" doesn't do everything.

Interesting that you out it that way HE. I read the book last fall and it is based upon a tobacco lawsuit, not a gun company being sued. Though I havn't seen the movie, yet, I have to say that I was disappointed that they wussed out and changed the plot to attack the gun industry (because they are safe to attack for everyone knows they are evil! [Wink] ). I suspect that it weakens the story considerably... Anyhow, if you liked the movie, I highly recommend the book.

Since nobody wants to talk about the topic, what about the graphic? Do the colors go together? Do the buttons look right? Is the removal of the trigger, sights, barrel, and hammer clean and unnoticable?

My roommates loved it. They even told me what gun they thought it was. I can't remember what they said they thought it was anymore. But the picture was great and funny. Mind if I send it out to a few people?

No problem...

My buddies didn't get it. They asked if it was a statement against gun regulations.
