Welcome to Spring Break in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida, the World's Most Respectful Beach! Every year countless thousands of college students escape their scholastic drudgery to come bask in the sun, enjoy each other's completely dressed company, and contemplate the unassailable dignity of each and every special, individual human being.
At least that's what the naked guys on the balcony said they were doing.
(Note: some background info might be helpful. Daytona Beach is in the midst of our annual Spring Break. The city commission is fighting to keep it clean and safe, with decided mixed results.)

It did remind me of a Buffy quote - but I think that's because Tony and I just watched the entire season 7 in a weekend, and I'm still processing most of it.
I always love you columns, Chris.

In recent Spring Break news, a local hotelier was busted twice in the same week for not cracking down on nudity during wet t-shirt contests. So far he has responded by banning the mayor and city commissioners from his hotel and accusing them of violating the state's Sunshine Laws.
So far about 840 kids have been arrested for possession of alcohol or fake IDs.
And the city's big "It's All About Respect" campaign got off to a slow start when someone stole 300 trash can sleeves with the motto on them.
I love Daytona Beach.
