Nope, he's cute and kind and way too good to me.

And I don't think he realizes how great he is. Everyone should post here and tell him what a sweetie he is.

Nope.

He didn't post in my ego thread, so he can go suck eggs. [Razz]

If his name is Bono, he ought to call security immediately.

If it ain't, then that's one U2-tolerant bloke you got yourself, Annie.

Actually, he doesn't go much for U2. In fact, he doesn't really go much for music with words. But that's not because he's a butthead, just because he's a little behind in rock appreciation. [Smile]

Just to let you know. My friend never called me a butthead. She called me an A-hole. Of course she smiled every time she said it. I can't help it she was so short. Proud to be an A-hole, even if I am not truly that.

All I know is that he can't stop talking about this "Annie" girl. And he gets such a cute smile when he does. And it's like watching a romance movie and being happy for the characters who have found each other. [Smile]

yeah... maybe... but he hangs around some awfully bad company: that Calvin kid is serious trouble.

Icarus, where is this ego thread of which you speak... I missed it, I think? and you've mentioned it twice today...

No one called him that, I'm just contrasting him with boyfriends who are buttheads. He is not among that demographic.

I actually refer to myself as a "recovering a--hole," and prone to relapses.

When Diane and I first got together and I used that description of myself, she laughed.

Seven years later, she tends to agree with the accuracy of my self-assessment. [Wink]

When I first met Hobbes, my initial reaction was "whoa, dude, put on some pants." My second reaction was "hmm...nice stripes. He deserves to find someone nice to spend his life with."

Then, he started up with this Annie business. And you all know how much trouble I had with Celebration School and Annie. So I thought "oh no! Hobbes is dating a cartoon character. What is wrong with the world?"

Then I realized that Hobbes was a cartoon character of a stuffed tiger who sometimes became a real tiger, but only in the imagination of one small boy.

And that's basically as far as I've gotten with this analysis.

In short, I'm happy for you both and wish you have many many happy cartoon memories together.
