AOL to Give Away $47,000 Porsche Seized in Settlement

quote:
It's a 2002 Porsche Boxster S that will be the grand prize in an America Online sweepstakes starting Tuesday.

AOL obtained the car in settling a lawsuit against "a guy who by our estimates made more than a million dollars from spamming," said Randall Boe, AOL's executive vice president and general counsel.

Publicly giving away a spammer's toy is just awesome. Can you imagine driving the Spam Porsche?

Could I have a Porsche without so much spam in it?

Yeah, but whoever wins it is going to get in, close the door, turn the key, and the Porsche is going to tell them, "You can cut 1,000's off your credit card payment!!!"

Give me three cans of spam, a sharp knife, and some plastic wheels and I"ll make you a Spam Porsche.

It may not be a life size model, but hey, can you eat the carborateur off of a lifesize Porche?

Frankly, I'd take the credit card payment line over a lot of the spam messages I get.

But what about the people want to make their penis larger, or be able to have sex for hours at a time? Without spam, where would these people turn to for relief?

Well, I wasn't going to use those titles, seeing as how this is a family forum and all....

But yeah, maybe the car could perform some onsite diagnostics so that your spam could be specifically tailored to your shortcomings....

And yeah, without spam, there'd be lots of young women who wouldn't get the attention they're begging for.

Oh, if I were only old enough to win in.... I hope the winner really has fun with it.

It's odd really, but I've never had Spam. When I was a kid, we had this odd "ham" salad (ground up with mayo and relish (sorry about the mayo Annie) but we used Treat. I liked it. Actually, it sounds pretty good right about now. I wonder how many carbs Treat has in it. [Wink]
