Is it really nessasary to show dead bodies on newspapers or on the news? To splay bloody crimescenes on every surface? People complain about the fake blood in horror movies, a concoction of dyed corn syrup. Yet no one seems to complain when they show the bodies of Saddamn Hussein's sons on the news where some child that is awake can see it. I remember being around 6 or 11, seeing the bloody of a man that had been taken hostage. He was dangling from a rope. Why did I need to see that? I was just a kid. It was bad enough watching documentaries of blacks hung from trees just for being blacks. Or the bloody crime scens of the OJ Simpson case. No one needs to see this. If I had children I wouldn't let them watch the news... ever.

Actually, it was important to show the bodies of Saddaam's sons to prove they were dead, since people were living in fear that they might regain power.
But in general I agree - there's no need to show bodies in most situations. And never a need to do it without a warning that will aloow people to change the channel first.

People complain about violent video games all the time. It's pixels and computer graphics. It's this real life violence I hate... It's just not nessasary.

The kids in my class were so turned on by this news event. To them, it is like a real life video game. They were misbehaving in a HUGE way today, and I think that had a lot to do with it.
