I'm posting this at school, but I'll be going home in an hour and a half to try to fix this. Heres the problem:

Internet Explorer won't run. It will dial and connect if you open outlook or AIM (both of which work fine), but not Internet Explorer. When you click on it, it does the Illegal Opperation and then after hitting 'close' says "Windows can not run Internet Exlporer. If the problem persist, restart your computer and try again."

Any suggestions? If I don't get much, I'll be on AIM in about 2 hours. Thank you.

What version IE are you running? Can you download/install a newer version or re-install existing version?

What if you try to run other web browser programs (like Firefox)?

I don't know what version, and I'm not at my house to check. My OS is Window 98, if that helps any.

I suppose I could install a different version. Personally, I'm hoping the entire computer crashes and my dad buys a new computer.

I'm pretty sure the aol cd has most recent version of internet explorer. just go into your add/remove programs. uninstall ie, then install it off of your aol cdrom. search the cdrom for 'ie6setup.exe'.
