What's your favorite carol to sing? What about to hear?

I think my favorite to sing is "Good King Wenceslas", especially when you've got people who sing different parts to do the king, the page, etc. My favorite to hear others sing is probably "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" (not my favorite carols, actually, but the ones that get the least butchered when you're in mixed company).

"Good King Wenceslas" is probably my favorite to sing, too. I do all three parts (king, page, narrator) myself, and give a different voice to each. [Big Grin]

(Of course, technically "Good King Wenceslas" isn't a Christmas song. No mention is ever made of Christmas, but explicit mention is made of the "Feast of Stephen". St. Stephen's feastday is December 26th. So it's near Christmas, but it isn't actually on Christmas.)

Caroling was fun. response left a little to be desired, but those who did hear and were receptive to us offered us cookies and/or cider.

i cannot sing at all, but i am ok with that.
