Okay, so Bob and I agreed we were going to stop posting mushy, self indulgent, love-and-marriage threads. We don’t want you all to get so totally sick of us that you don’t even want to come to the wedding. But I picked these up today and I wanted to share.

You guys look...soo...PERFECT together!
Dan saw me looking just now, and asked me if that was "Mr. Bob from lunch that one day".
Whe I said yes, he said, "Oh, cool! I didn't know he had a wife."
So I explained about the engagement and what that means, and he asked me to print the last picture for him. He wants to show his friends at school his friends "Mr. Bob" and "Mrs. Bob".

How lovely! I too like the black and white one best.
Dkw, you have such a beautiful smile.
They're great photos. Maybe I should get Tony and I a proper engagement photo. The only one we have right now is taken by my little sister, and my chin is cut off.

Don't feel stupid. I'm basking in being recognized before Mr. 14000 posts.
I haven't posted on your engagement thread yet, so I'd better get in there to offer my congratulations.

You know, this is going to come out wrong, so I'll just get ready to be flamed for it.
DKW is just so beautiful. I mean, you get pictures in your head, right? I hate to say this, cause it's somewhat sexist, but I've only ever known one female methodist minister. So, I guess I kinda got this idea in my head that dkw would look similar to her or something. I know, I know, it's silly.
Well, she doesn't. Dana is just so lovely, with such a sweet smile. I just wanted you to know that, darling.
You two look so awesome together! I'll add my vote for the first one as my fav.

Congratulations from a newcomer to this forum - and a word of advice.
I work at a newspaper (The Messenger in Fort Dodge, IA), and one thing I do is put the announcements page for Sunday together - anniversaries, birthdays (age 80+), engagements, weddings. That last picture is probably the best choice to submit for your announcement if you haven't already. I haven't seen the Tribune, so I don't know how they do theirs, but at The Messenger we do one column and try to get it at least 2.25 inches high. So, a photo with your heads together is best. Also, if you submit the photo by email, don't tone or size it - they probably prefer to do it there. If you are loaning them a picture to scan that won't be a problem.
I just checked their website - wow, they charge for including a photo! We don't do that yet.
Anyway, congratulations on your engagement.

The last picture's my fav, too... 'cause dk looks like she does at family stuff so much.... 'cute and just a little bit naughty. And you both look beyond happy, which is obviously the case, and it's great. I need a smilie with a bigger grin....

I like all of them except the one with the really light background.
The others remind me of Rembrandt. Dark rich shades of black that aren't really black with lighting that seems to reflect the inner light coming from the faces.
