It went quite well ! At last the religious ceremony. The civil ceremony day has been quite awful because my BIL and SIL didn't make any effort to seem happy, and we were few so it was not cool. But the religious wedding was wonderful. The ceremony was more beautiful than I would have though, the text the Priest wrote for us was amazing, my cousin at the orgue (how do you call that ? The big music instrument with pipes you find in some Catholic churches...) and our choral group made wondeful music... And the rest of the day has been very happy too, a lot of people had prepared surprises for us in the evening, we had a lot of fun and of emotion. I don't have any picture yet, but I'll send some as soon as possible.
Oh, and I became half-real by meeting Corwin, who has been kind enough to come to the wedding !
I don't have much time to give you all the details because we're leaving tomorrow and I'm not packed yet [Smile]
Thank you Hatrack for you support !

Congratulations, Anna.

I wish upon you many years of wedded bliss. And then many years of wedded patience. And then many years of wedded comfortableness. And then back to many years of wedded bliss.

Congratulations Anna!

Never mind the negatives. The point is that you are married!!!

Have fun!

I only know one organ joke and it's not to be shared in a "family" environment such as this. So I'll just say that Bok was right and leave it at that.

Until Anna comes back from her wedding trip, you'll have to settle for me. [Razz]

It didn't start very well from my part. I missed a metro towards the church… But when I got there, about seven-eight minutes late, I found the church easily enough and got in, mostly unobserved. Anna at least had a great excuse: all her attention was directed towards Vincent. [Wink] You know, she sent me a picture so as I'd recognize her, but that picture doesn't do her justice… She was just splendid in her red and gold dress ! But forget the dress: I hope her smile as she looked at Vincent was caught in the photos, because it glowed with love.

I had a cute little surprise from the chorus: towards the end of the religious ceremony they sang a very happy and very rhythmic song, in English. Vincent told me later that it was to warm all of us there in the church, as the weather wasn't particularly helpful during the weekend. While it didn't rain, it was quite cold. And I have no idea how Anna managed not to freeze in the church and then outside, before getting in the cars ! I mean, I had my shirt, sweater and raincoat, and was still getting cold after a couple of minutes, and she had only her veil to cover her shoulders… That, my friends, must be love ! [Big Grin]

And did I say how glad I am to have met Anna in person ? And on such an important day for her ! Once again, my congratulations to her and to Vincent, and I wish them all the best in the world !

This is all for now. I'll post more about my "Vin d'Honneur" experience tomorrow, as now I'm pretty tired and in dire need of some sleep. [Sleep]

((((Anna))))

Bob, just place roses on your piano and be done with it.

Congrats, Anna!

Corwin,

As the official Hatrack presence at the wedding, I'd just like to say thanks for letting us know a little of how it went. I think it's great that you could attend.

Very cool!

Annna, congradulations! Don't worry, something always goes wrong on the wedding day, but it never matters afterwards.

The Tux place lost my tux, my DJ couldn't get into the building to set up, the hall never put out the appitizers (fruit and cheese) until after dinner...but it was wonderful, and all woked out fine.

What book? The Kama Sutra, or Laurell Hamilton. Wait, I don't think there is that much of a difference between them anymore.... [Dont Know]
