I thought it was a good one...on the whole I thought this season was a bit weaker than the last, but the last few episodes were great. I can't believe both Mrs Palmer (I guess ex Mrs. Palmer is more accurate) as well as Mrs. Milcan (sp?) both ate it. It is sad that President Palmer won't run again...so I am guessing he won't be in the next season since he was a good character, but I guess he had to go much farther than he would have liked in certain areas this season. Chase sure deserves an award of some kind...having his hand cut off with an axe is a rather big sacrifice...hell just attaching that thing to his arm to keep the guy from running with it was a huge risk.
What did you guys think?

I think Ryan Chapelle still wins the prize for biggest sacrifice.
Man, the last couple of minutes had me convinced there would be a last-minute death. Whew!
So they killed off the two big nemeses of the series ... Jack is the only field agent left, but we've got Kim, Chase, and Michelle still working the floor. Tony is going to prison and the President won't run again ... I'm worried that some of their best people are now out of the picture.

True, at times Ryan Pissed me off...but he sure as hell made the ultimate sacrifice, he gave his life for his country. He didn't just risk his life and get killed, he literally allowed the president to trade his life to prevent a terrorist from releasing a bio weapon.
I really wish they had found a way to kill off chloe. That woman couldn't be more annoying if she tried. Hell, last season they killed off a computer person...they could have done it again.

I would love to see either Jack or Tony become the next bad guy. I would also love it if America somehow became a dictatorship that needed to be overthrown. Anything that pits Jack against the USA or CTU would keep me captivated as much as any assassination attempt, nuclear weapon, or biological threat ever did. Would Jack be willing to kill innocent civillians to do what he thinks is right?

I can't believe he chopped of Chase's hand. that was ridiculous.
And episodes later I am still shocked they killed Chappelle like that. As much as i hated him i was sad to see him go.
But I do think the best character demise was Mason last season. Actually, him in the entire season was wonderful. And i'm glad they let him go down in a blaze of glory.
