My Little Debbie Nutty Bars are missing a layer. No! It's true! Remember the last time you sank your teeth into a nutty bar? Well, the bastards at Little Debbie decided to save a few bucks and skimmed a layer off the thickness of a nutty bar.
Now say it with me: (unless of course your moral, ethical or religious beliefs prevent in doing so)
I'm madder than hell! and I'm not gonna take it any more!

I KNOW the thickness of a nutty bar like I know ....well.....too many anologies seem creepy and wierd in a Freudian sense. But darn-it-all, my Nutty Bars are now thinner. Of this, I am certain.
I do not know the ends of this attack on our favorite junk food. I have been saying for years that Frito Lay has been secretly skimping on the powder that flavors Doritos, but they redeemed themselves and came out with those heavily-seasoned Doritos Nacho Cheesier that leave your fingers caked with orange plaques.
Junkfood is bliss, and these wienies at Little Debbie are messing with my snackfood, and I am going postal!

I just finished eating a Hershey bar. It still has 12 little squares (even though they recently changed the wrapping). All is still well in the world,

I also pre-ordered Anduril which is being released June 30th. I have 5 spotlights in my office from which to display my treasures, and I sit there and grin like a drunken fool, sipping on the spoils of my toils.

I live within a few hours of Hershey, PA and have been to the amusement park and toured the factory. Imagine smelling what a Hersheybar smells like, but everywhere within the factory. Beyond words. Hershey chocolate rocks. I even had my sis bring me back some fancy Swiss chocolate when she was in Switzerland recently, and Hershey chocolate totally blew it away. I was bummed, yet relieved.
I now hug myself like a schoolgirl and rock back and forth for comfort.
You know, 5 minutes ago I was ready to seek bodily harm against the powers that call themselves Little Debbie.

In all honesty, I don't think these new Nutty Bars have enough calories to sustain the energy needed by our digestive systems to even digest the nutty bar in the first place, let alone have an accumulation of calories.
That's why I am supplementing my diet with this HUGE bag of beef jerky and these really tasty potato chips by Lance called Thunder. I prefer the Buffalo Wing and blue cheese flavored ones myself.
Since I already consumed my 2 cans of Mt. Dew for the day, I have switched to Sprite Remix Berryclear and water.
And this consists of the normal everyday diet of a health professional.
Shoot me, shoot me now.

My husband(don't ask me why) bought a food dehydrator to make beef jerky. It is SO GOOD, and I never even really liked beef jerky.

You are so right. I too eat the PBC bars but the Nutty Bars have been my friends since I could buy them a la carte from the High School cafeteria and opt out of feeding out of the trough of humanity that the school provided, for a nominal fee of course.
I want a Ronco food dehydrator in the worst way, but I know it will sit next to my Bowflex and do nothing...
BTW, the Little Debbie website has a NEWSFLASH! page that you can sign up for news to be dumped into your already clogged-with-spam email account for special offers etc...
Well I have a NEWSFLASH for them: Nutty Bars have been pillaged of their greatness and I am starting a movement. Here. And Now.

I have the barbecue and rotisserie oven, but it was a gift, so I feel no guilt. I love how it destroys hamburgers, and how a small lamb roast bangs against the front glass as it turns. The grating noises that make my dogs shriek are fun as well.

Product size deflation is nothing new. Downsizing the package and keeping the price the same is an old trick. (fondly remembers when coffee used to be sold in 1-lb cans)

Sndrake, I am going to try the M and M counting with my math class! Great idea!
Another math class does a cookie project, where they count the number of chocolate chips in different brands of cookies.
Alucard, the pork roast is the BEST in the RPBARO!! Hamburgers stink. Sausage is a frightening, explosive mess. But oh, the pork roast!(and of course the chicken)

Sndrake, I know what you are saying and I have also noticed the the diameter of drinking straws at McDonalds are much larger than straws at other restaurants. I can only assume this makes a person able to drink their pop much faster than with a smaller straw. The insult on our intelligence is astounding.
My son recently had a kit of M&M/Mars candy to sell as a fund raiser for Little League. They downsized the Snickers bars and still sold them for $1.
We are all going down in a swirling maelstrom of sickness and decay...

Oh, and Alucard, in all this discussion, I up and forgot to take the beef jerky out of the dehydrator, as instructed by my off-to-work husband. It will be dry and chewy now, ha ha. (since it is a dry and chewy thing to begin with.)
If I ever get into backpacking again, it will be a good thing to have.
