OK, who recommended this series? Tom Davidson? Others?
I was a basket case when Eddard died, a blubbering mess. What the heck? That was NOT supposed to happen. He was so sweet, and sexy, and wonderful.
Pease don't tell me anything about the other two books, but darn it, he seemed like such the protagonist to me. Twinky(I think) had a thread about how he was annoyed with so many perspectives. I sort of agree, but only, mainly, because I loved Eddard's perspectives, and now he is gone, gone, gone.
Waaaah.

...oooh, I just re-read this series (almost done with Storm). I am so jazzed for the fourth book. Has there been discussion on here about these books? I mean, in depth stuff? I am in deep conversations with a friend about the different cahracters, predictions of what will happen in the fourth book, the parallels with English history, etc.

I won't give away the next books other than to say hang on...it is a great ride (and a heavy one).

Oh, Elizabeth! I'm so glad I wasn't the only who was a blubbering idiot when Ned died. I was in shock. Lalo and Xavier had to listen to me mourn for days.

Edit: Yes, fil, there are lots of threads about George R.R. Martin and A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Edit 2: I just felt that Ned had so much left to do in the books, people to kill, etc. *chokes up again*

Me too!
It took me forever to finish, because I have been too braindead to read, lately. I finally sat down and made it through most of it in the past few days. I couldn't stop.

I purposely read good fantasies as slowly as possible. Some books, though, I have to rush right through. Harry Potter is always an all nighter. This one was another. Sean Russell's novels do that to me, too.

Perfect timing, as school ends next week, in 7.5 days, not that I am counting every millisecond or anything. Then, I will read like crazy. I don't know what has happened to my brain, but it is full of mush. It is kind of like "The more you drive, the stupider you get." (Repo Man) The older I am, the stupider I get.

I've grown quite attached to all the families, but especially the Starks. So, the loss of Ned was rough, but I am afraid to get attached to anyone now, I'm freaked out that they'll die too. [Frown]

Now, I know that lots of people die in these books and thanks to everyone for keeping the spoiler threads easily identifiable. People seem really good about that here.

Want a spoiler-free site of character pictures? But you can't stray off of those 3 or 4 pages to the forums and such, or so I've been told, as that is spoiler territory.

Someone mentioned recently that there was a board game out too, might have been in twinky's thread (too lazy too look) and I want to get that.

I did see a board game.

I love those pics. Different from my head characters, but fun.

Want to know what the worst part is?

Xavier and I are together and he practically begged me to read these books and then after telling me the dangers of spoilers, goes off and makes that thread.

The urge to click that thread is killing me! It is the only one that hasn't been clicked on.

I need to read faster.

Even reading quickly that series takes a while. Take good notes!

I actually thought of taking notes to keep up with all the new characters, then I saw they are all in the back of A Clash of Kings.
