Where can I find sources of news for places over the world, not just the US? You know, like news in Russia, that sort of thing?

I'll second that. I like the BBC news, and love the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) more each day for carrying the BBC news nightly in addition to their own news programs.

Edit: Also, as a general rule I use Google News to keep an eye on the world. It groups the most commonly carried news stories by cateogry, but you can also focus on a single category (i.e. world news) and just get that.
