I considered putting this in the "Interesting Science-Related News" (or was it space) thread, but I consider it so exciting and worthwhile that it gets it's own thread.

Private space flight has begun! I think this is a fabulous achievement. Not only does it give us another foothold in space it also prooves that space travel (or visiting, anyway) does not have to be a whacking great monster of a vehicle that takes six months to prepare between flights and still only carries four people.

I hope that this is a step on the way to the future.

EDIT: This is a repeated thread. See eslaine's thread for the original. (Sorry eslaine!)

Yours will probably get the most looks, though, since it's got "space" in the title and the other one doesn't.

Yeah, what is it with all the thread titles which don't even give a hint as to their subject?

<---looks. Sees it's a dupe of other thread. Wishes other thread had as catchy a title.
