Now, teacher-student stories come up every so often. I even felt a little bad for the teacher who had a relationship with her 17 year old student. But this is pretty torrid.
If it's true, the claims are that she liked the "forbidden" aspect and she "had sex with the student in the back of her sport utility vehicle while the cousin drove them around the Ocala area."
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that all conventionally accepted relationship boundaries of power-relationships (doctor-patient, teacher-student) are reasonable to uphold. After all, most of them have solutions. The only Never situation I know of is that psychiatrists are never allowed to be romantically involved with a patient of theirs, ever. Non-psych doctors are allowed to become involved some number of years after they last had a doctor-patient relationship. Same with teachers.

Seems like back in 92 or so there was a case of a teacher who had a 13 year old's baby. The teacher was a female, the student was male in that case. I kind of assumed this was the same.
If it were the other way around, I imagine there would be less rational consideration and more calls for castration.
P.S. Man, you'd think she'd wear less rouge for her press appearance. But maybe she's trying to emphasize that she's young and has poor judgement.

Pooka, you speak on Mary Kay LaTorneau. She was local, I pass the prison where she still lives when I visit my freinds to the south of me.
I have really mixed feelings on the subject. I feel in many cases the young person IS making his or her own choices..STUPID choices but nonetheless their own.
