[Smile] I "registered" for one by emailing out this link to my relatives. My mom ended up getting it for me, though [Smile] She even found a local representative to show her how it worked.

I'm very excited to use mine!

Hope you can get one, too [Wink]

Edit: Duh, if I had clicked your sewing machine link, I would've seen you had the same link! *grin* I thought about sewing one myself, but figured I'd ask for one first.

I just got one (a sewing machine!) for my daughter..... well, okay, we haven't got it yet, but it's on layaway at Wal-Mart.

They have some decent low-end machines. (less than $100) She just took sewing in high school this past semester and loved it, so I thought it might be handy to have her abilities around to mend things etc. (no, I never learned to sew). And she's been begging me for it.

You two can talk sewing on the way to KamaCon.

(By the way -- we got our family portraits back yesterday. I will scan the best one over the weekend and post it for everyone's opinion)

I've seen a bunch of mothers (and fathers) walking around with their little ones in those slings. It looks so cozy... I always feel a little jealous of the baby. [Smile]

*laugh* Farmgirl, I thought you got a sling for your daughter. My first thought was -- isn't she a bit old? -- and my second thought was -- isn't she a bit young?!

I have a sewing machine, but am terrible about actually using it. I've had curtains waiting to be sewn for over a year now and the dress I tried to make was a gunny sack!

My first daughter I had one for kept trying to flip out of it. Of course, I'm on the anxious side myself. It worked pretty good for the other two, though. I have two.

I never could get slings to work properly for me. I'm a BIG fan of Snuglis, though. Anything that holds baby close yet leaves your hands free is a Very Good Thing. [Smile]
