The last game of the final finished some 30 minutes ago, and the new FIDE World Champion is Rustam Kasimdzhanov, from Uzbekistan.

The official site of the tournament can be found here, I don't know for how long though.

The last two games will be uploaded soon at Chessgames. The rest are already in the database.

Congratulations to THE Random Uzbek !

The problem is that the top 4 contenders were not present at the time, or something close to that. It seems that there is a great debate over who is the best, which organization represents them, and who won what when.

I get "Games" magazine and they are running continuous updates on this soap opera. It makes the Musical "Chess" seem calm and normal.
