A friend sent this link to me and I thought I'd share it with you all. I've always wanted to take a hot air ballon ride but this reminds me of a cartoon character lifting into the sky while holding on to party ballons.

That is so cool.

I had a hot air balloon ride once, and it was incredible. This looks like an order of magnitude better. Nifty.

For anyone who hasn't read it (you really really should read it if you haven't), there's a great kids book by William Pene Du Bois -- "The Twenty-One Balloons" -- that's got lots of great balloon inventions, and one that's mentioned in passing is how kids do something like cluster balloons -- like, they grab a balloon that has, say, 40 pounds of lift, and go running down a street, and can make great big leaps thanks to the balloon -- go sailing for a block at a time... of course, one kid who's too small grabs a balloon that's too big for him, and he sails away and has to grab a church steeple before he flies up into the sky...

Always wanted to try that! I wouldn't want to actually do the cluster balloon sailing up into the sky thing, but I'd love to get enough lift from balloons to do the running thing... [Smile]

Ooh!

From a link at the website punwit posted: http://www.parabounce.com/ -- you can wear a 22' diameter balloon inside a huge dome, and jump up to 125' inside it... ooh...

Oh! You and me both, punwit! On my list of "things to do before I die" -- taking a ride in a hot air balloon is #1 (followed by several similar things, like those personal aircraft things...)

What a neat link! I have never heard of this cluster ballooning before -- that really sounds like fun!
