I'm going to be writing a piece soon about legislation passed by Congress with special exemptions or benefits for the Congressmen.
For example, they passed the National Do-Not-Call Registry, but added a clause that exempted political messages.
Other bills would include pay raises, tax exemptions, and the like.
I've searched Google high and low with no results, so I've come back to Hatrack. Any help at all would be appreciated.

You're in murky territory on this one. Do you want stuff that *directly* benefits politicans, or stuff that benefits constituencies and indirectly the politican by allowing him to get reelected (aka pork)?
If it's the second, I'd start by taking a look at last year's omnibus bill...

While the SupremeCourt has recognized the governments' right to limit commercial speech, it has also been extremely protective of political speech. Without that exemption, it is very very likely that the SupremeCourt would have tossed the DoNotCallRegistry law out in its entirety.
