Bob Saget is a very funny, often dirty comedian. He's not at all like the dad from Full House, or the host of America's Funniest Home Videos.

I've seen both sides of Saget.

My judgement stands.

[Cry] I have such fond memories of watching him on America's Funniest Home videos though. <sigh> nostalgia...so why does he deserve death? Any particular reason, or does he just bug you?

While Bob Saget doesn't strike me as any more valuable to humanity than, say, Joan Rivers, wishing death upon either of them for not striking your particular funny bone seems rather tasteless.

Talkin' bout sick shows--
It's America's Funniest Home Videos!
I can't believe my eyes
When I see the kind of stuff that wins first prize.
Somebody's poor old mom
Falls down on the roof, lands right on the lawn
Face first on the rake--
I hear they got it on the seventeenth take.
That's funny--as a kick in the crotch,
and that kind of show, uh!, I can't watch.

I do not understand why people get so worked up about a performer who they don't enjoy? Are there people out there being forced to watch him? I don't enjoy him, and as a consequence, I probably havne't seen 5 minutes of him in the last 5 years.

I sometimes think that people enjoy hating. [Dont Know]

You're right, people do enjoy hating. At least on some level. Maybe it's not so much the hating that we enjoy, but the sharing and justification of that hatred with others.

For example, I HATE the winners they choose on the aforementioned show. I watch it occasionally with my family, and some of the home videos are actually amusing. But the three chosen at the end of each show always SUCK!!!!!!

Ok some clarifiers,

I'm not actually wishing this man dead,

I just happened to catch a rerun of america's funniest home video's and recall how much the guy got on my nerves... I'm suprised I'm not getting more support in this, I thought everyone hated Bob Saget...

He just seems to sell out to what ever genre his agents throw at him. His homour is intensly vulgar and sexual and relies only on shock factor. Then he does shows like Full House, AFV, and the recent Rasing Dad, where he's the loveable and always extremely corny good guy. His hosting on AFV was terrible. Only a complete sellout would do so many years on a show that had such horrific writing and the same video themes over and over again. (source of proof: Mario Lopez)

Don't get me wrong...I used to be hooked on Full House (and Saved By the Bell for that matter), but Saget himself just hits a bad nerve with me.

Oh well, maybe he doesnt have to die now....
but sooner as opposed to later,
Preferably now though.

My first impression of this thread was that it would contain a question on German grammar. "Die Bob Saget... Die" -- It should be "Der", since Bob is masculine...

I get the feeling that he makes his stand up even dirtier to get away from that full house dad persona he has going for him.

I dont have a huge problem with him. But I do not like Joan Rivers! However I dont think she should be killed.

Don't you mean disassembled? I firmly believe that while Melissa Rivers may be human, her mother is definitely an evil robot.

Has anyone here ever seen an episode of "America's Funniest Videos" or "World's Funniest Animals" or anything of those types of shows that didn't have the worst writing of any show, ever?

If I watch them at all, it's with the sound turned completely off. Oddly enough the videos can be funny even without the cheesy commentary and added sound effects.

Wow, I didn't know we had the technology for that. Let alone twenty-plus years ago.
