Noemon posted in another thread about the letter N song. I think that's nice, and I'm not sure if it's favorite, but that got me to thinking about all the way cool songs Sesame Street has had over the years. For my money, though, my favorite is 'Letter B':

Yeah, I really like the 1 to 12 song. The graphics for that were, like, some of the most tripped out stuff ever made for children.

It's the most remarkable word I've ever seen!
I can't think of any favorite songs besides the ones mentioned, but I always liked the cookie monster bits. Arrrmmm num num num num!

Yeah, the 10 Tiny Turtles song was great! I'll second the mention of the Ladybug Picnic song too. I loved that one.

That's funny. I always felt sorry for Bert because Ernie was so exasperating. I think I was probably a "jerk" at that age myself though. (Can the word "jerk" apply to a female?)

You know, it's funny--growing up, my brother was very much Bert, and I was very much Ernie. We kind of drove each other nuts. Growing up and watching Sesame Street in the 70s, I can swear that I remember seeing a giant snake puppet dance around in a psychedelic way to Blood Sweat & Tears' "Spinning Wheel"... anyone remember this??
A few years ago I saw REM doing "Shiny Happy Monsters" on Sesame Street, that was fun ("Shiny happy monsters holding hands...")

It was one of the few shows I liked as a kid and still managed to enjoy when my kids were little. All these songs are making me nostalgic for both times of my life!
