I noticed you drawing several times during Kamacon. Any chance you'd be willing to share those with us?

Ryuko, since this thread has your name in it: do you know the anime "Rahxephon"? Is it any good? And "Bastard"? Is the Anime as silly as the Manga?

The "Dark Schneider: Explosive Wizard" anime?

It's hysterical.

"Dark Shneider: Explosive Wizard" - must be it, Trevor. Is it funny?

I mean...the manga is funny, but kinda silly.

Oh, it's patently absurd.

The actual anime title is "Bastard", but the main character is "Dark Schneider".

Typical anime wizards, casting personal attack spells that make tac nukes look tame in comparison.

The animation itself is pretty well done, but it's definitely done tounge-in-cheek with the odd moment of seriousness.

My roommate watched the anime "Bastard!"... I don't think she liked the end... I'll ask her when she gets in.

Edit to add: I've heard good things about the other one too, although I've never seen it either. ::sigh:: My anime budget is so limited... ::is really a humor chick at heart:: So expensive, though.

I haven't watched RahXephon, but one of the music videos I showed at the con was a RahXephon music video and just by virtue of its awesomeness would I see that series.

I haven't really had time to scan anything but I do have a few sketches of Ken and Mack fencing, a picture T drew me, something that I have no idea what it is, and of course the sketches I accidentally left at the con (one of which was of you, sensei you sneaky devil, and that I meant to give you but you disappeared ninja-like.) I also gave a sketch to Papa Moose if he can get a hold of a scanner. And Annie and I drew some collaborative pictures called "Exquisite Corpses" which I'm too tired to describe.

And this is the first time my name has been in a thread title. YAYS!

Also, I have seen Bastard! and it's hilarious. Unfortunately, like many anime based on long manga, it's too short and doesn't have a definitive end. but I recommend it for metal fans. (The main town in the universe of the story is called Metallicana.)

Ah the joys of being poor. I wish we could get together a Hatrack anime fans con. We could bring anime and watch it for a whole weekend straight, thereby seeing things we couldn't or wouldn't have bought and for a fraction of the price.

...

Maybe someday I'l put that together...

Ryuko, that would be cool. Of course, I'd not go (again) due to distance issues. [Wink] But I really like to talk about anime and manga.

Well...already ordered Rahxephon. Didn't order Bastard. Also ordered these ones:

Metropolis Anime Movie
Millenium Actress Anime Movie
Macross Plus Anime Movie
Mahou Tsuka Tai OVAs
Vampire Princess Miyu OVAs
Ranma 1/2 TV 1
Ranma 1/2 Anime Movie
Yamato Anime Movie
Yumeria TV
