Remember Mack, you are his godmother, which counts for something. By the way, could you guide him into a religion that doesn't promote shoe-chewing?

He looks intelligent and well behaved.

But then again, so do I and we all know better than that.

Good luck.

Fine with me, Mack. I don't have any babies. But I do have shoes, and Max has already tried to gnaw on two of them. Maybe his middle name can be "Baby Eater."

Have you tried getting him a nylabone? He's probably teething. AJ would know best, I think.

What a fine looking dog! I had a lab years ago and he was a happy loving dog. He did dig up all my mother's flowers tho. Lab's need a lot of attention and exercise from what I remember. Have fun and give him a kiss from me (no tongue please).

Yep, he still has his razor-sharp puppy teeth. We had a few nylabones left over of Licorice's so I gave him those. We also ran to the store and picked up several more chewy type toys.

Punwit, Max gives you a big ole' lick on the face.

Beautiful dog, and an excellent choice. I'm sure you'll both love each other!

Now I miss my chocolate lab/husky blend from my childhood.....

The dog is CUTE!!!
I'm more of a cat person though...
The only dog I just LOVE is the Golden Retriever. As for cats, I love the Long Haired Scottish Fold.

Congrats!

1. Pick up the shoes, do NOT give him an old shoe to chew on or toys that look like shoes.

2. This is your potential salvation!Your Best Friend's Best Friend!

What a cutie.

By the way SO, I hates you for leading me to that site. God Dammit, I want a kitty. [Frown] I haven't wanted one so much since mine died five years ago. But I can't get one until I get my own place and that'll be forever from now.

Awsome! I am gald that you found such a beautiful dog so soon, and I am sure he will be a wonderful addition to your home.

I love the fact that you went with a mix, and that you rescued him from a shelter.

(I always hate saying it like that, it makes the shelters sound like a concentration camp.... [Big Grin] )

He seems very, very cute, and I am also jealous now.. [Frown]

Max is such a great boy! He's four months old, and had been at the shelter for most of his life. The shelter workers said that he'd been passed over by many people due to his size and his energy level. Lucky for me I guess none of those people hung around long enough to let him work out his energy after being penned! He is actually very calm - just the right combination of energy and sweetness. The shelter asked that we send in a picture of him in a few weeks, which we will, along with a donation in his name. I'm so glad they took care of him until we came along!
