Some people need to be reminded where they came from!!! I just want to post this in protest to those people who don't know how to respect their mommies.Just today at lunch time, I heard this girl say some thing about her "beeatching(that how you spell it?) mom" I was SOO DISGUSTED that some people can be so disrespectful, ungrateful, and literally such little bastards. I'm not a mom, but if I was, and my child ever said anything of the sort. I'd spank his or her ass purple-red.

she said it more like bitch mom. I don't think calling your mom a bitch is a compliment, where did you hear that?

To quote my mother, "Abortion should be legal till their 21" then again, my older sisters are a tad bit out of control, good thing their over 21 and out of the house *looks at exercise room door in nastalgic thought of when mother was glued to this side, screamming "I know what that smell is, and it ain't tobacco"*

Not really, but I know the person and she's the type to curse at anything and anyone, I didn't think whe'd curse at her mom though...I didn't think I'm part of the "kids these days" catergory, if that means cursing at your mom this way, then I'm glad I'm not. BTW, the person that said this isn't the kind of girl that has no support from her parents, so I know that partly it ain't the mom's fault. What is the mom's fault though is that she probably didn't slap her face when it needed a good slapping.

[sarcasm on] Yes, because we all know the way to get your kids to respect you is to HIT them [sarcasm off]

Any idiot can have children, and many idiots do. Respect is earned by correct action, not as an accidental byproduct of sex.

Gnarly used to be a bad word? And Bitchin' is a good word? I always thought bitchin' about something means complaining about it.

quote: Isn't calling someone "bitching" sort of a compliment?
Was it "bitch mom" or "bitching mom"?
Depends on if you are using it as a verb or an adjective. If you are talking about what someone *does*, it is rude. If you are not inferring something that is done, and are just describing, than it is a complement.

Hopefully before you become a parent yourself, you will have learned that spanking a child's ass "purple-red" is called abuse. I say that because you're not describing a swat; you're describing a beating.
And also, we do have perfect birth control, it just involves (relatively minor) surgery, and isn't perfectly reversible by any means. Note: by perfect I mean all but one in millions.

This thread is getting out of hand. I just think that that girl needs to learn how to respect her mother. She called her mom a bitch, thats it. She didn't say it as a compliment, so I got really pissed at that. I don't care if you beat her ass red or not, there are other ways to instill punishment, I said I would beat my child if i had one because I know the kind of mother i would be and I know I wouldn't deserve to be called a bitch by my own child.

I just wish you would change the title. Ivygirl was trying to read Hatrack at home, but kept having to close it quickly because this thread was coming up top on first page, and her grandma was very nearby. She was afraid if grandma saw the thread title, she would never be allowed to look at Hatrack again...

OH! BTW DKW. i meant that i now the kindof mother i would be even if i don't have children. For instance, I would teach them to respect their mother.

If you beat your kid like that, I'd say as a mother, you'd be deserving of the name calling from your kid as bitch.

It can be very helpful to become aware of how angry one can be with children before one actually has them. Ideally, one uses such awareness to structure the timing of having children and the development of skills necessary to deal with that anger constructively and appropriately before one has kids.

Well, when you said New Mexico, I was hoping it would be somewhere nearer to the AZ border. On a side note, I have asked my husband's grandmother for permission to use her truck in the advent of an emergency, and I'm still waiting for an answer. I can make Albuquerque in six hours if I haul booty and keep my eye open for cops. Let's see how this pans out.

Yep. I say anyone who would beat their kids DEFINATLEY deserves to be called a bitch, or worse. As in, "I am reporting that bitch to CPS". (I am a mandated reporter, and have had to do that three rimes in my career).
You can teach a kid to obey you by hitting them. You can surely make them be careful about where they call you names. Respect? Never.

This thread still really bugs me. Just the idea of someone from my generation ADOVCATING child abuse to command respect from a child.
