Hmmm... I went on the parachat thing, you know, just in case some hatrack peeps were on. And there was this person on. Me, thinking it was a Hatrack person tried to talk. They where apparently just surfing the net and thought it was a sex chat or something... and when I didn't get it they said "f... you" and left.
Seriously... I know it means nothing but I was seriously mortified for a minute. Hmmm... I say again...long live Hatrack as a bastion of polite society.

Wow...that is absolutely crazy. You mean you saw someone in the parachat! And it wasn't a pre-arranged meeting! How amazing. Bad that it wasn't a Hatracker, but amazing nonetheless.

Actually, I met my first hatracker ever randomly through parachat. It was AKA of course, and she promptly persuaded me to join the forum.

Telpy, it's a good place to go newbie fishing! Witness the post above mine! <Wow, I'm so glad I newbie fished Noah! Aren't you guys?> But usually the first step in newbie fishing is to determine whether or not the person is a keeper before you reel him or her in. Sounds like your newbie was a real thrower backer. You, on the other hand, are a super duper keeper! I wish I had newbie fished you! <<<<<<<<<<<hugs>>>>>>>>>>>

Oh, that sucks. I'm sorry. Yeah - I occasionally venture out of Hatrack, but am usually driven back due to outside crudity and missing people here.
