The point of this thread - all the stories we hear or see and feel the need to share because the anger and sadness and frustration threaten to overwhelm anyone if they spend to much time dwelling on it.

Thank God the baby is okay!

Fair warning, this is difficult to look at and if you manage to read through the entire report, you cannot help but be depressed.

Motherhood cut short

[Eek!] That is horrible...I kknow this is terrible to say, but it is proably best for her and the baby that he died, or there is every chance she would have stayed with hime and they both would have faced further abuse.

Although it is a horrible occurance, this is one of those moments when I can't help thinking that there is some guiding force in the world: God, Karma, Fate etc.

The baby lived, and the man, convicted of abuse, and attempted murder (of the baby), was killed. Of all the tragedies in the world, this seems to be one that ended "happily".

Could be a coincidence, too, since being involved in 100+ mph high-speed chase with police increases ones chance of dying by a good bit.

I heard about the baby on the freeway yesterday morning. Glad that guy got what he deserved!

Trevor: I admit, I was a bit afraid to read the second article...things about bad things happening to moms and babies are sometimes hard for me to read.

I heard another outrageous story this morning going to work. Just read this: http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/news/91304-couplecharged.html

The fact that the mom is a schoolteacher and the dad works for Wacovia (not mentioned in the article, but on the radio) upsets me even more. People are so awful sometimes!

I feel really bad for both the baby and the mother. I'd like to think that the man put the baby out of the car because he knew it would be safer then keeping it in the car while trying to out-drive police. The baby probably would have been hurt if it had been in the car when it crashed, so maybe the man was trying to do the right thing, for once.

Just some thoughts, I like to be optimistic [Smile]

This is going to quickly become a depressing thread, as it was intended. A catharsis of sorts.

Four months expired with black mold?

Ugh.
