Time to get out the Christmas CDs and start planning the holiday schedules and menus!
I wish the weather would start acting like it's fall. Fall is my favorite season, but it just doesn't last long enough. I love Thanksgiving; to me, it epitomizes how Fall should be (except when it's too hot ).

PSI, I think so too. It was actually cool outside this morning and yesterday afternoon wasn't sweltering hot. If it stays this nice, I'm willing to forgive the fact that this year went on record as the second driest monsoon season since they've starting recording it.

Fall is my favorite season of the year. I started Christmas shopping today...just shopping not buying.
one thing I love about Wes' job is that we get holiday pay every year in November. What that means, is that for every holiday that normal working people would get off (think bank holidays, and even those that fall on the weekend, like a July 4th on a Saturday) a firefighter earns 8 hours of pay. That money is put into a hot-time account, and you can use it as vacation time. Every November, what is left in the account is paid to you.
Well, we never use it, Wes has plenty of vacation, so every year we get a nice fat check for Christmas spending. Oh, and he gets a bonus every year, and it goes up depending on his years of service. That also gets paid in November.
In other words, I can't buy until November, but I am planning my purchases now. I also am planning a holiday party for family and friends.
And the weather - ah the wonderful weather. Time for fall planting, too.

The thing I do not like about early fall in Bloomington is that it, is freezing in the morning but when you get out of school it is burning up. It is hard to dress for this weather.
