I had the opportunity this weekend to see OSC speak in my hometown. It was an event I'd been planning to see for about two months.
Alas. Junebug came down with hand, foot, and mouth disease last week; she passed it on to Litebrite, who developed blisters on her hands and feet on Thursday, and a nasty temperment to boot. My wife came down with a nasty flu-like something on Friday evening, and was laid up all day on Saturday.
So-- I missed schmoozing with OSC.
I probably wouldn't have schmoozed very much anyway. I'm not much of a schmoozer, see. I'd probably hide in the back, and try not to make eye contact.
BUT-- I just gotta know-- Kristine, OSC; did you guys get to go to Carl's Frozen Custard?

that hand, foot and mouth thing has going around the pre school set. A little boy I babysit had it pretty badly about two weeks ago, they almost sent him to the hospital for an IV, because the blisters in his throat were so bad. Get well soon litebrite and junebug

That is going around the church daycare too. It seems to hit this area about this time every year. Get well wishes to Junebug and Litebrite.

Wow, that's too bad. I remember getting HMF when I was about twelve or thirteen, and it wasn't a big deal at all. Kudos for sticking with the littleuns!
