[Frown] .

Looks like it's too early to know with any certainty how many people were killed. The article states that "as many as 100 people were feared killed and more than 250 hurt", for what that's worth.

Pakistan might or might not have aided such an effort, though I suspect they wouldn't directly given the current state of relations between the US and Pakistan. They are definitely not the ones who actually carried it out.

From the updated version of the the article I linked to:

quote:
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appealed for calm and described the incidents as a "shocking and cowardly attempt to spread a feeling of hatred".

Pakistani leaders also condemned the blasts as a "despicable act of terrorism".

I am sure the Pakistani government would condemn the attacks. The government has been very helpful to the US, and I think it wants to have peace with India. But the war on terrorism is not popular across the board to the Pakistani people. It would not suprise me if this was the work of Pakistani terrorists, or even Indian Muslim terrorists as a way to shake things up and blaze up the hate war between India and Pakistan.

Do you think that that is more likely than Kashmiri militants?
