I made it all the way to Eagle. I have yet to scan in my project pictures. My new scanner is a bit slow to do all of this in one night.

Philmont rocks... I'd post my pictures, but i'm too lazy to put all 300+ of them on the internet.

I am limited to 150 unless I pay a price to get unlimited. these pics will also be going on my website amongst others when I actually start working on it.
edited to add: BTW the 2 bottom pics on the 1st page are from rich cabins up in Ted Turner's property that he allows the BSA to use. That summer the staff up there spent working to rebuild the log barn. A few friends and I went up there one weekend for a Philfest (party) and helped out a bit. That night it was a big sing along (100 people were there). Songs included Boy named Sue and Folsom Prison Blues. Lots of fun.

Do it! It is not that hard. The thing is is that you can start anytime in the junior ranks. They never spell that out too much. My friend Zac was working on starting his, but never finished by 18. He didn't feel like filling out the extension paperwork, and henceforth, never made Eagle. He is perfect Eagle material, but "Stuff" just kept "getting in the way."

Hey, is the trail crew still led by this wacky old guy? He'd have to be nearly 80 by now, so I doubt it, but maybe they rotate wacky old guys.
