Obviously the election results and surrounding discussions has upset a lot of people.

I'd like to say thank-you to those people who have obviously taken a lot of flak over various issues, or been deeply affected by them, and nonetheless have remained calm, polite and reasonable.

Dana - Sara and Tom have already commented that you seem a little frazzled. I'll just reiterate Sara and say thank-you for your calmness and patience. I am sure that this is not an easy time for you with the various accusations about religion, church and pastors flying around and you getting caught in the middle and I hope you are doing ok.

The same goes to Vana - thanks for your thread, and its rational nature.

Dagonee and Sara are both doing what they always do so well - defending their own (sometimes opposing) viewpoints but doing so in a calm, eloquent and reasonable manner. Thanks for not adding fuel to the fire.

There are many more people who are behaving in an exemplary manner here. From those people who are specifically affected (Telp and the like) to those who are passionate about the issues I thank you for keeping discussion reasonable.

I realise this is a ridiculously group-huggy mutual love society thread, but I've seen over the last 24 hours people I care about get more distressed and upset. Maybe a bit of peace love and joy won't go astray.

I really don't see the draw of Dutch oven cooking. I mean, it's convenient and great-tasting when you're camping or whatnot, but Dutch-oven resturaunts? Honestly.
