The night was calm and so was I. Leaves crinkled gently with the breeze, Nothing to fear. I stopped to see the sky, When everything started to buzz, like wild bees.
They danced past me, the leaves flew away, Herded by a hound that I could not see. The wind then came, and I the prey, It pounced on me with great glee.
I tried to escape, but it kept pace, And as it ran, it whistled to my ear. It was a dismal midnight chase, It the wolf, and I the deer.
I tripped and fell, bashed my head, And could not move much more. The wind waited, to strengthen my dread, And raped me, like it would a whore.
It wrapped around my body, Trickled in. And was gone.
