No, I don't have lice.

When I first put on a hat, it doesn't itch. Then 30 minutes to an hour later, without fail, no matter what hat, my head itches.

And itches.

Am I the only one?

I get it too. But usually the itching goes away pretty quickly, only coming back for a bit when the hat comes off again.

Even when my head was shaved bald it itched, so I don't think it has anything to do with hair either.

My head doesn't itch when I wear a baseball cap, but otherwise I'm scratching like a rabid cat.

Yes, especially baseball caps.

I wear a hat for one of 2 reasons:
1) to block the sun
2) to block the rain
edit:
or 3) Because I couldn't be bothered to comb my hair

From the hat.

It's the opposite for me, it only itches when i first put it on but then it goes away after a little while.

I have a hat made of rather scratchy material, so I know it's the yarn; I think it's partly wool. But it's from Norway and is a kick-ass hat, so I'm alright with itching. Besides, if it's cold enough, I don't even notice it... I'm too focused on trying to be warm.

That used to happen to me all the time. It was sweat. I've learned to carry a hankie and dab off my head every once in a while.

I can't wear hats. My head is about a size 8½, and hats are only made up to size 8. Thank you so much for bringing it up! [Cry] [Frown] [Cry] [Mad] [Cry] [Grumble] [Cry] [Frown]

My head is also tragically large. I wear about a 7 3/4, which might be OK if I were a man and wanted to wear manly hats, but womanly hats are another story. They're so cute and pretty and demure and never ever big enough. Even stocking hats I get are too small.

Sigh. I suppose I shall never be truly elegant.

On a related note, I secretly wish it were socially acceptable to wear a hijab even if you're not Muslim.

Annie! [Kiss] Why aren't you on AIM? *Inquisitive Look*

Ohh, hats, right. My head certainly itchs after waearing a warm, winter hat, but I love wearing them anyways, though I hardly ever do since it's tough to fit under a helmet.
