We bought a new one one this year. It's a whopping 3 feet tall. (We moved into a new apartment with very little storage space) but at least we'll have enough ornaments

Now every carpet in this place is ingrained with silver and red glitter - you could track the paths of our journeys today by the glitter we've been shedding.

I have had my cute little one up for ages now! Complete with a tiny star on top. I even make tea for it, so it'll grow nice and big (this type likes acidic soil)

One of my roommates decided we needed a tree, so she brought back a small one. It's six feet tall and forced us to rearrange our living room to accomodate it. I don't think she knows how to properly care for or clean up after a tree, either, so I think I'm screwed as far as that goes...

Last year, one of my roommates cut down a forest service tree and brought it home, but we realized that we really didn't have any ornaments to speak of. So we ended up decorating it with paper snowflakes and anything in our house small enough to hang on it, whether they be keychains or sixth-grade photos of my friend Abby. I also think we had about 5 pass-along cards on there and a thimble and a little bottle of food coloring.

I doubt either my roommate or I cares enough to get or worry about a tree. I don't that's for sure.
