I still need to write for the YB pages. Trouble is it deals with two sports, and I'm not good at doing anything with sprts...Frosh Girls Volleyball and Varsity Girls Golf...I need help here!

Are you aware of how well those teams have done this year? Discussing how the season went, especially if the team won most of the time, is usually a good idea. Although, if the team had an absolutely miserable season you should probably focus on the experiences the players had, rather than how many games they won.
I assume that you usually interview people and quote them in your yearbook stories. Good questions to ask:
1. What did you enjoy most about [sport]? 2. How do you feel about your teammates? Your coach? 3. What was the funniest thing that happened during practice or a game? 4. When you look back on your experiences on the team after you graduate, what will you remember most? 5. What did you learn this season? 6. How did playing [sport] affect the rest of your life? 7. If you could sum up your experiences on the team in a few words, what would you say?
You can also attend a game and take notes, then use a narrative about the game as a base for your story. I wouldn't just do that, though, as you're not trying to write a newspaper article about an event--you're trying to capture the whole season to remind people about what it was like.

yb is year book. I got your post and are about to press print. Thank you, I could think with this little stuffy nose I got yesterday... its not like I know how to write anything about sports anyway...I did get the Golf captain's phone # though, a co-worker, so to say, gave it to me.

Yeah, I didn't know how to write about sports or anything else for that matter. Over the years I developed a stock list of questions to ask when I had to write sports stories.
Much of the time, the sports stories in my school's yearbook said something about the team's performance, but if the team had a bad season it was usually played down as much as possible. We wrote a lot about 'team bonding' (so much so that one of the advisors declared a ban on the word 'bond' unless spoken by an interviewee), as well as the character building aspects of the sport. Anecdotes about team rituals, sayings, or funny things that happened are good if you have room. For example, I happened to be assigned the story about my own JV soccer team and mentioned that the coach encouraged us to be aggressive with the phrase, "The bigger they are, the higher they bounce." We then made t-shirts with TBTATHTB. Stories like this go over pretty well in the yearbook and are fun to see when you are looking back and remembering what it was like to be on the team.
Also, always end the story with some sort of pithy/sentimental quote. It's the easiest way to do it when you can't come up with a good ending. Actually, much of the time half my story was quotes.
Hehehe...hope I haven't given you too much advice. I just wish someone had told me all this stuff when I was a new writer on yearbook.
