my coworker pointed out the fact that countless Blaxploitation films used dude in the modern sense (sort of) long before fast times. while i agree that these films did refer to each other as dudes, they did not use it in the "expression" form. so i don't think this study has been debunked...yet.

I read in the paper today that this professor graduated from my highschool like 20 years ago (85), which I think is the same year as Meg Cabbot (that wrote Princess Diaries). Small world
