I am not too happy about this week, especially Christmas ensuing soon. But, at least this great opera will be on the radio on Saturday.

Do you have any friends you can spend Christmas with? Or how about volunteering at a Children's hospital or soup kitchen or something like that? You'll probably feel a whole lot better than being alone.

Come to that, it's my first Christmas alone, too. But I think my mother is more depressed by it than I am.

I don't know where you are, but I doubt it matters much. There are usually a lot of places that could use a volunteer for a day, whether Christmas or some other time of year. Newspapers frequently have listings of volunteer organizations in the classifieds. There may be listings for your locality on the internet. Check around. And good luck!

I'd almost prefer being alone to being stuck at my parents' house... At any rate, I hope you have some luck finding a way to make it a happy Christmas Synesthesia. These 7-UP party spots are for you! And this circle of mutants is as well...

Yeah, Boris, I hear ya. I stopped spending Christmas with my parents 15 years ago. It was the best move ever!

it's not quite the same, but for the first time ever, we're doing christmas small. No one from out of town is coming in, we're not going anywhere. Partly because my grandma is sick (not serious but she's got a sore throat and is really tired), partly because of weather, and partly because of my dad's current job situation. It will be different, i've always wanted to cancel christmas, and now I'm a bit upset.
