You know what's kind of cool? We don't have to FAQ about the kids who people think should play Ender anymore because they are both old enough to vote now.
Bad words: Um, don't say anything you wouldn't say in front of a pediatrician, or a Methodist minister, or an Orthodox Jew, or a survivalist Mormon who lists ammunition reloading as a hobby. Also, there are a minors on the board and you can't usually tell who they are. Unless you post a thread titled "No minors allowed." That ought to catch most of them.
If this board had been Ohio, John Kerry would have won. (Not that I would have been pleased.) Just don't come in here talking about how persecuted liberals are or your shoes might get vomit on them.
There is an interesting Search feature. (Not the google one). I find narrowing the search to "subject only" helps immensely, or a word and member number.
OSC doesn't post here very often, though several of his family members do. If your issues are specifically OSC related, the "Discussions about OSC" folder is always there for you.
If you want to be popular, be sure to put all 8 permissable smilies in every post and use the whistle feature frequently.
Oh yeah, some people have a wedgie about editing posts and deleting them. I say that if you say something that really was a mistake, it is better to get rid of it.
