Anyone posted this yet?

Tim Burton in a stop motion film... Voices of Johnny Depp, Emily Watson, and Helena Bonham Carter... Music by Danny Elfman?

This has to be good.

This looks TOTALLY SWEET AND AWESOME. I won't wimp out of seeing it, like I did ten years ago with Nightmare.

Edit: Also, yet another movie in which Helena Bonham Carter breaks up a couple. SHE'S A HOMEWRECKER, I TELLS YA!!

I actually have seen this in boredom.

Entertaining looking for sure, but it's for children, how fun... A new word to the munckin's vocabulary... Corpse.

The guy in Big Fish thought she was. Does that count?

And I am so excited. This is going to be one of Bill's two movies this year.

She was in the Merlin miniseries, and in real life of course. I had a few more examples, but they're escaping me now.

Here you can read about the Russian folk tale that this movie is based on. Apparently the folk tale itself is based on a very sad, disturbing thread of truth.

That's terribly sad. But it does sound a lot less scary and disturbing than I thought it could have been. (The story itself that is.) Though I'm sure they're going to expand on it in the movie.
