I know this has come up before, but I couldn't find the thread.
Anyone out there know about the possibility of obtaining an english translation of, at least, part of the Talmud? Either version is fine. My mother will be ordained as a Rabbi this spring, and while I know that she can read and translate the talmud, its rough going for her, and as a graduation present, my brother and I would like to give her a version that she can access and reference quickly, without struggling through a language barrier.

I'd like to get books. Money is not really a problem, since if the cost is greater then I can bear, I've got my brother, my grandmother, and my uncle to help me out Of course, depending what is possible, I may decide to get a couple volumes for her this year, and help fill in the collection as time goes by.
