I'm just finishing up "In the Company of Soldiers" by Rick Atkinson, about Operation Iraqi Freedom. Atkinson was embedded with General David Petraeus and the 101st Airbone...his book is *phenomenal*, I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

I'm kind of on a kick in this regard, though, and I'm not sure what to read next. I picked up Anne Garrells' "Naked in Baghdad", which I like thus far, but it's much shorter and should be a quick read. Has anyone else read any great books from journalists (embedded or otherwise) on this war? Or any good ones from non-journalists, for that matter? Was Tommy Franks' book any good?
