Has anyone seen this movie? I had to see it for a class last week, and honestly, I found it incredibly bizarre, and didn't really understand what was going on. That may have had something to do with the fact that, for all the Japanese parts, the subtitles were in Hebrew, and I don't read that quickly, so I may have missed some things...

Anyway, if anyone's seen it, and would like to discuss it with me, I would be very glad to do that, so maybe I get a better grasp of what really happened. I saw it for a class, so I think I actually need to know what it's about! [Wink]

Oh, um, Ewan frontally naked, btw, was a plus. Just thought I'd mention. [Big Grin]

There's a lot of that in his Scottish movie "Young Adam" too, which is also a little...different, though I really liked the ending. Something to watch in your spare time, perhaps [Wink]

But, no, (sorry to disappoint you being the first comment and all), I haven't seen The Pillow Book so I can't say much to help with that...

I saw the pillow book and it was incredible.

I can't remember the character names, but I'm pretty sure I remember the movie itself pretty well. The direction is incredible, very strange and beautiful. It's like visual poetry.

Do you have any specific questions about the movie? Maybe I could clarify it for you.

Karl, I don't really have any specific questions... it's more just general puzzlement. I couldn't really figure out what was happening half of the time. I thought it was a beautiful movie, but it didn't make any sense to me.
