Anybody else listen to Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!"? It's probably my favorite thing on NPR these days.
The winners on the show receive an answering machine message recorded by Carl Kasell. I've always wondered what they were like (and would love to get on the show sometime and win one*), but somehow I never thought to check their site to see if they had any of them online. Turns out they do! "I can't reach them either" and "Trapped in the basement" are easily my two favorites.
*of course, then I'd have to get an answering machine, but it'd be worth it.

Hold on to your socks Noe, but someone here once posted that they have Carl on their machine. I was so jealous I wiped their names from my memory.

It was someone who's name is Nathan, I think, because another Nathan asked if they could have a copy.
I love the show, but I don't listen to NPR too often anymore, so I forget to switch over to catch it.

By the way, I tried to get on the show many times, but the one that finally did it was calling them up and giving them my contact info, then reciting
Each week I tune in to your show And the answers I often will know I've tried to call in But Oh, what a sin, Do i ever recieve a call, NO!

I'm sending you an e-mail, idi. I LOVE this radio show. I usually listen to it as I'm cleaning the house to sitting in my car in a parking lot somewhere, refusing to get out until I hear the next bit.
