Oh, I used to be a farmer and I made a living fine, I had a little stretch of land along the city line But time went by and though I tried, the money wasn't there And bankers came and took my land and told me fair is fair I looked for every kind of job, the answer always "no" Hire you now, they'd always laugh, we just let twenty go! Heh heh...the Arrogant Worms are hilarious. I really like the War of 1812 song, and their birthday song (Happy birthday! Now you're one year older. Happpy birthday! Your life still isn't over!)

Hmph. For songs that actually make me respect Canada, I still recommend Stan Rogers. Especially Barrett's Privateers (um, a little language), Bluenose, and Northwest Passage, as wonderful historical songs. He also did a very cool "punk-folk" (his description) version of the traditional "Oh, No, Not I".

I love Arrogant Worms, I've had that song for awhile. "I am Cow" and "Celine Dion" are hilarious too. And then there's my personal favorite, "Me Like Hockey."
